Farewell Songbird
You were like a songbird in a bright golden cage
youre heart and voice always pure and true
exepted live's sentence without anger or rage
youre cheerfull song dragged us out of the blue
That youre health was a burden, you would never admitt
nore that youre feathers had started to faint
always there as our candle in times it needed to lit
you would lighten our path, though restrained
't was on a sad day in June, clouds had covered the sky
as the angels whispered your name
underneath the weapin' willow, we spoke a final goodbye
now things shall never ever be the same
as the sky opened up, in a sunburst of light

you flew of with the angels, to a place out of sight
